Hirst Applegate in the Community
This fall Rob Jarosh, a partner attorney at Hirst Applegate, LLP, and Kara Ellsbury, an associate attorney at Hirst Applegate, LLP, helped coach the Central High School Mock Trial Team. The Mock Trial Competition provides high school students the opportunity to prepare and argue a case before mock judges and juries. On Saturday, November 19, 2011, Central High School won first place in the State Competition. Central High School will move on to compete at the National Competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico in May.

This summer, Hirst Applegate, along with members of the Cheyenne community, worked together to build homes for two Cheyenne families. The homes are now complete, and the Habitat for Humanity 2011 Home Dedication will occur Saturday, October 1st. Hirst Applegate is proud to contribute to the construction and is looking forward to volunteering again next year. Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and builds and rehabilitates homes with the help of donations, volunteers, and the partner families who purchase the homes at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans.
